Well you need to tell Facebook that their instructions isn't helpful, this has nothing to do with Apple, they don't own FB META does.

If you're referring to this instruction below, it clearly states Facebook app, a MAC doesn't have an app for facebook. Correct instruction where given you just didn't understand it.
