Photoshop download failure on iMac Sequoia 15.1

New iMac Sequoia 15.1. No problem downloading Adobe Acrobat and Creative Cloud, but for Photoshop it says "1%" then "failed" with a "Try Again" alternative that gets same result. Is this a storage space problem?

And there's the answer. Your drive is already dangerously full. The OS and apps need working space for temporary files (caches, scratch files, etc.).

You need to make room, NOW. Before it becomes so full data starts getting corrupted.

Move anything off the main drive to an external drive that does not need to be on the main drive. Videos in particular take up a lot of room. As do photos if you have a big collection.

Once the space hogging files are on another drive (preferably two so you have a backup), then delete them from the main drive.

Other large items that can be moved to an EHD are Photos libraries, Music Library, and much of the stuff in your Documents folder.

Also if you've installed items whose .dmg files are still in the Download folder you can delete them.

Another source of free space is deleting the local Time Machine snapshots on your boot disc if you use TM regularly. You can do that with Disk Utility:

Always leave the latest snapshot for security's sake.

If you need an easily portable external drive consider the OWC Envoy Pro MINI from OWC (MacSales.com):

It comes is sizes from 250 GB to 2.0 GB.

Have you rebooted since you've moved the files? If not reboot and check the size of the documents folder.

Also you can put the files from the Documents folder into a folder on the EHD, name it Documents-2 and drag it into the Finder's sidebar under the Documents folder. Then it easily reached.

The same goes for any music files/libraries and Photos libraries, i.e. Music-2 and Photos-2.

If the reboot doesn't fix the size of the Documents folder give this a try: Rebuild the Spotlight index on your Mac - Apple Support

Okay. I know it was kind of a "duh" question, but it was the simplest thing to ask as I otherwise don't know why you aren't gaining any space.

Although, it could have to do with iCloud syncing. That's another maybe, as I never user iCloud for anything. But it's the only other thing I can come up with for the moment why your internal drive's space never changes.

Perhaps Old Toad can give you more, and better help along those lines.
