Safari auto-saving passwords after software update on MacBook Air

I have a MacBook Air m1 and just done a software update. Now on safari when i am trying stuff into the software I use for work it was the save everything I type as a password and won’t let me just to continue without pressing no. But still want to save my passwords for logging into the webpage. It did not do this before the update
