Recovery Account Request being canceling

I was stolen in December, 2024. I had to buy a new phone, however, I did not remember my password. So I had to go to iforgot.apple.com and request reset password. I have done this process 5x and I wait the 24 hours to receive the email with date and time that I will get a text or email from apple with the instructions to recovery or unlock my account, the point is I wait for the time apple give me but I have never got any contact from apple. When I call the support the kind of mention the request may have being cancelled. I have change the password of my email to avoid any option of someone has my email and may be canceling my request. However, still cant get through the final step of the process to unlock my account. Is there anyone could help me or give me some advice how to proceed in this point? I am really upset since I am losing all information that I have in that iCloud account for the last 15 years.

Thank you,

iPhone 16 Pro, iOS 18

The required waiting time before you receive the first email is 72 hours, not the 24 hours as indicated in your original post. That will tell you how much longer you need to wait, and then Apple will respond with a Text Message or Automated Phone Call:

After you request account recovery, you get an email with a confirmation of your request and the date and time of when you can expect to regain access. This email arrives within 72 hours.

The process can start over if you use your device before that time and is recommended to turn the device off. It would be best if you have another device to access your email account to check the status if that is possible.

  • If you started your account recovery request with iforgot.apple.com through your device’s browser, you should avoid using that device during this period. If possible, turn that device off. Using that device might cancel account recovery.
