ChatGPT with Apple Intelligence on OSX: Sign In Failed

When signing into ChatGPT with apple intelligence I get the error that the signing failed.

the authentication to ChatGPT works okay and it goes through the whole OAuth process and I'm able to select my team (or my private account)

in the inspector this flashes.

things it is not:

it's not personal account vs teams account

it's not network settings or dns

it's not traffic filtering

it's not subscription status

it's not me typing my password wrong

I'm in the US

ChatGPT works great for me in a browser and via the app

I can go to the data dog url and get a valid response so it's accessible but I can't debug the js to see what exactly *this* request is sending

it appears to me that the JS is buggy

Hello, TheTrebor!

I thought this was apple support. I tried to get to apple support and this appeared to be the only option. Is there a place I can talk to Apple themselves versus shouting into the internet?

Yes. Before you do so, though, I suggest that you submit a bug report on Apple’s feedback page. Afterward, if you want to talk to Apple directly, contact the Official Apple Support.

I hope this helps!

Follow the link given by @Platypus4 and eventually you will get to options to Chat or to Call. I have used Chat and they help as much as they can. When the Chat support can't help you they should pass you on to the next level and, for me, this has been an appointment where someone from Apple Support will call you on an agreed date and time.

BTW there is also a Support app for iPhone and iPad.

I tried changing the default browser from safari to chrome, no changes

I turned off all ad block or internet filtering. Like I said, I can go to the failed URL just fine, it's not a connection problem it appears to be a javascript bug.

the problem occurs after a successful log in but before control is passed back to the OS, so it's not passkey or oauth problems.

I do not have a VPN and because it does not appear to be a networking issue that is unlikely to apply.

thank you though.

If you’re sure it’s a bug then you should report it to Apple, also get in touch with Apple Support.
