Retina Macbook Pro Issues

Hi!

Recently, I bought an Early-2013 15' Retina Macbook Pro for $80 at a thrift store. I knew it was going to have issues, but it's been so weird. First off, everytime I boot it, the display shows nothing. I have to put it into sleep mode for a few moments until I can see any picture, after this it has no problems.

Secondly, full-screen YouTube lags hard on it, even resolutions as low at 160p. I get this is an older Macbook Pro, but my Mid-2009 runs 720p full screened videos with no sweat.

Other than those 2, it's been a sweet laptop to use. Great replacement for my Mid-2009.

I would recommend running diagnostics on the Mac to identify any possible causes for the issues: Diagnose problems with your Mac - Apple Support. Also ensure that the Mac is up to date

There's a reason you found that MBP at a thrift store for $80.

It's twelve years old, obsolete and unsupported and it wants to retire. You should let it.
