Apple Pencil Pro covered in Ipad apple care +?

I just bought an apple pencil pro and realized during unboxing that i didn't get an option to buy apple care + at the time of purchase? How do I get apple care + for my pencil?

I have apple care + on my tablet and phone already.

The iPad's plan covers one Apple Pencil. If you have another, AppleCare+ isn't available for it.
