Black square with white dot on iPad 2 screen
There is a black square with a white circle on the screen of my ipad2. How canister rid of it, it is a nuisance.

Perhaps you have enabled the Assistive Touch function:
Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch > AssistiveTouch - set to OFF
