One the 3 different machines I use each with the same version as yours - Sequoia 15.2

Mission Control works as designed by Apple

View open windows and spaces in Mission Control on Mac

In my setup

Using the F3 on the keyboard

With Safari open, Mail open and Notes also open

Using Mission Control as per the details in that link

This is what I am seeing

Desktop 1 = Safari, Desktop 2 = Notes, Desktop = Mail
