AppleCare is your limited 1-yr coverage
AppleCare+ is the additional coverage 2 yr
If you already have the AppleCare+ adding the two additional years,
you can Extend the coverage only after it expires— not before.
if you had AppleCare+ on your new machine you can purchase new coverage within 30 days after your original AppleCare+ coverage ends.
