Menubar doesn't hide automatically sometimes.

Me too. I initially hid the menu bar in full-screen apps for watching videos but its erratic performance annoyed me too so I gave up with it. VLC's full-screen mode works OK for me, now. Full-screen apps, spaces and the hidden menu bar have been broken for me since about Ventura.

It sounds like it's very traumatic for you. Which "certain" app? I have no such problem.

I wouldn't know. Small or large bugs do not irritate me. Is this while Quick Player is in full screen or not? I can test.

The menu bar automatically hides for me when switching to Full Screen. I never had to set it to hide.
