2) The ET-2800 is on the supported AirPrint list and you do not need drives from Epson.

Connect the ET-2800 printer to your local wireless network using the it's on-screen Control Panel.

Then go to Apple > System Settings > Printers & Scanners and add the ET-2800 printer.

Forget about ScanSmart from Epson and use Preview, Image Capture or the macOS print/scan utility.

Well guys, for anybody who’s interested, I just got off the phone with Epson support and I guess because macOS 15 Sequoia is new is why this is like this so the support technician I talked to told me to download and install the “printer driver version 13.26” and the “Scanner driver and Epson scan 2” under the Drivers section and then he told me to do the same thing with the “Epson event manager” that’s under “Utilities”.

I’ll do this this evening when I get home after work and report back here.

I have full Print/Scan control with AirPrint without downloading anything directly from Epson.

macOS and iOS require totally different software builds and it's Epson's call to provide, not provide or no longer provide the Smart Panel app for macOS.

Besides that, once printer is setup on your local Wi-Fi network via it's On-screen Menu or the Smart Panel app from your iPhone, there should be little or no need to make any further changes.

So, the Drivers and Utilities Combo Installer Package is so that you can control the printer the same way you can with the Epson Smart Panel app being that it’s not compatible with MacOS? I’ve already done all that other stuff and added the printer to my Mac so that I can at least print from it.

Well, I guess you would have to have the Epson Smart Panel app on your iPhone/iPad to understand what I’m talking about because on those devices, I can control every single aspect on my printer, even changing the network that it is on. this is what I would like to do, but unfortunately, I can’t do it with the same app as I can on my iPhone in my iPad, which is what I thought the software from Epson should allow me to do the same thing.

Or well, let’s try this approach; if my Mac only had OS 14, what does downloading and installing that file that this whole discussion is about? What does that even do?
