I have used the iMovie app on my iPhone many times to make short movies from photos in an album. But now it is not allowing me to see the movie either and edit mode or finished mode to go in and make the adjustments. You hear the music and see the transitions in the edit mode, but not on the movie itself. It is not working correctly and I have tried to delete and reinstall, but nothing has worked so far.

Same thing…have used iMovie on iPad for many years and now it does not show the preview. It stays on the first pic and plays the music. When you export the movie it then plays correctly using all the pics but not in iMovie.
LOL on the first post…did you check your settings to allow full access. That is like when windows users ask if you tried CTRL-ALT-DEL . I will say that over the past several years apple has been releasing updates that are ‘breaking’ other apps or features. I have been an apple user since 1998 and a windows user at work up til 2 years ago and IOS glitches have increased but no where near Microsoft although iOS use to have very little issues when updates where pushed in the past.
Have you made sure that in Settings --> Apps --> iMovie --> Allow iMovie to Access: Photos = Full Access?
Yes it has full access. I have used this app many times before. I am concerned it is an issue with the app itself and possibly related to an update. I am not sure how to resolve that.

I am have the same issue. Started recently. Cannot watch the film at all to see how edits work. App problem? Or since iPhone update?
