My iphone 13 is rapidly discharging the battery.
It is a refurbished phone in excellent condition with a new battery one month ago.
Battery went from 100% to less than 10 overnight in airplane mode.
Up to this the battery life was excellent, with maximum capacity 100%.
What is happening??????????

Try this. Please go to Settings > About and look at your model number:
The first character of the model number—"M" in the example above—shows its provenance:
If yours does not show "F" I would be concerned that a non-Apple battery was installed. Only Apple and Apple Authorized Service Providers can get genuine Apple batteries. The number of counterfeit batteries and other iPhone parts on the market is staggering.
Who did the refurbishing and are you sure it’s a new battery?
It sounds like a lot of background activity is taking place. Please post a screenshot of your app usage and capacity usage using last 10 days. Here’s mine,
If it was sold to you as 'refurbished', but the model number starts with M, you almost certainly have no warranty at all and it's likely that Apple won't service it at all as it's undoubtedly been tampered with by an unauthorized refurbisher.
Just an update on my problems.
The supplier has been in contact and their warranty is being honoured.
Following instructions to take pictures of the phone I had to remove the protective case.
When I done this I noticed the screen was loose, which I advised them about.
I was advised that the battery had probably swelled, rather than a bad reassembly.
The phone is being returned for repair.
As the model no. does not start with F I would take your point on batteries.
It is a note to be cautios when buying refurbed with a new battery. I certainly will.
Battery 'optimal' rather than new may be a better option.
Hello~ You will need to deal with them for more than likely the battery was replaced by a non Apple battery and as *KiltedTim* points out usually Apple will not assist with an iPhone that has been opened by a third party. Good luck.

You might have an app running in the background.
To close it, swipe up on the Home Screen and close all the apps by swiping up on all of them.

I cannot show app or capacity usage as I have reset the phone to factory settings and restored it.
However, this seems (?) to have done the trick as it has used very little battery since.
I cannot be 100% sure until I leave it disconnected overnight.
It might be that the seller put an app to drain the battery- try checking all the apps installed by going in Settings > Apps
They might have used a knockoff off brand battery.
I bought it from Refurbed.com. I have bought from them before with no trouble.
Cant post app usage at the moment as I have reset the phone and it is still restoring.
A lot of apps are still black and waiting.
I have closed all apps with no effect.
The model number starts with M which shows it was purchased new from Apple
I will have to see how it behaves from now on. I have not heard back from refurbed yet. They give a 12 month guarantee.
