It was revoked 8 days ago
The fines placed on Google and Apple for allowing the app in their App Stores have NOT been repealed. That is why it is not available in the Google Play Store either. All you can do is use the web version and access TikTok with Safari if you currently do not have the app on your phone.

Despite what you may have been led to believe, the President cannot nullify a law passed by Congress and upheld by the Supreme Court just by signing an Executive Order. Presidents simply don't have that power under our system of government.

Very informative and basically explains why our Government is not a Dictatorship. We should all be thankful.

It's a nice summary. Someone (you?) had mentioned School House Rock.
The U.S. Consitution is a fascinating document. More people should read it.
"I'm Just a Bill" and if I remember correctly you were a fan of "Conjunction Junction". Those were the days.
Because the delay won't be legally valid unless the company which owns TikTok shows that it's divesting from the Chinese government.

Congress passed a law which is NOW in effect.

Despite the fake news to the contrary, it is still 100% illegal for anyone to distribute the TikTok app in the US.

I have a little booklet. Apparently, there is a law that any university that receives federal funding has to do something in observance of Constitution Day. I used to be in charge of that at my job(for no good reason). We gave out booklets one year.

FYI, for the Kindle users out there, Kindle offers a free version to download. I'm not a lawyer but I still read the Constitution and the Bill of Rights every year on the 4th of July.
