By US Government mandate, Tik Tok can no longer be made available in any US App Store.

Apple is obligated to follow the laws in the jurisdictions where it operates. Pursuant to the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act, apps developed by ByteDance Ltd. and its subsidiaries — including TikTok, CapCut, Lemon8, and others — will no longer be available for download or updates on the App Store for users in the United States starting January 19, 2025.

The App Store is not blocking TikTok, the US government is as it poses a potential threat to our national security, and Apple is just complying with the law or they could face a hefty fine. We do not know if or when it will return for download. In the meantime, you can still watch TikTok on the web.

The law was delayed for 75 days by executive order.

The fines that the law imposed on Google and Apple has NOT been overturned. Congress has not overturned them and the Supreme Court has not ruled that an Executive Order can eliminate those fines.

Hope that helps. That is why you can continue to use a previously downloaded version or access TikTok on the web.
