What is the problem with your account. For unwanted charges, the most important thing to do is figure out how those charges occurred, as that will tell you how to prevent them in the future.

  • To make an in-app purchase on your phone, it requires you to double click the side button with the amount showing on the screen, followed by verification using TouchID/FaceID or Passcode, so it is not something that can be done by accident.
  • Also requesting refunds or stopping subscriptions depends on where the charge was initiated. If you signed up for a free trial or service on a website, Apple is not involved at all and you will need to contact that website for assistance.
  • If you use Purchase Sharing with a Family Plan, you have authorized other members to make purchases to your payment method.
  • All free trials will become a subscription if you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial period ends.
  • You have many Screen Time restrictions that can be used to prevent others from making purchases, but it is up to you to use them if that is the case.
  • If you do not know what a charge is for, view your Purchase History here:
