Problem in Photos app on iMac 27"

whilst trying to separate the RAW & JPEG images , using Image drop down menu

then Use RAW as original

then Add to "Untitled Album " - Cannot find this album

I no longer take photos with RAW+JPEG setting, however I have some photos taken about a year ago and want to select the RAW ( an Olympus .ORF file) image only to import into Lightroom Classic ( via PS Elements 2022 if necessary. I achieved this once with 1 photo but cannot repeat the workflow I used.

Would be glad if someone could provide me with a workflow/procedure

iMac 27″ 5K, macOS 13.7

File -> New Smart Album

Camera Model -> Is -> The camera you used

Photo -> Is -> Raw

Should find the ORFs from that camera

Export the Raws from Photos going file -> Export, Kind -> Original

That gets you the raws in the Finder, from where you can add them to LRC.

If I Choose 2) a smaller window opens headed export Original, I unticked Export IPTC as XMP.

This is the option you choose.

Then click Export. The next window will allow you to choose a destination.

Thanks very much for your detailed reply. However still having problems as follows.

ok , I inserted OM-1 , presumably this is sufficient. Shows 1090 items matched
ok, Now shows 782 items matched. hit and an album of those 782 items opens , all marked RAW
File,Export gives 2 options - 1)Export 782 items , 2)Export unmodified originals for 782 photos .If I choose 1) a window opens with Photo Kind three choices JPEG,TIFF, PNG no mention of RAW or ORF. If I Choose 2) a smaller window opens headed export Original, I unticked Export IPTC as XMP.
It seems that whichever of the above options I choose , I cannot get the photos to transfer to Finder. I must admit that I always find Finder difficult to use. Would/should I find them in Mac HD or my iMac or photos Library. Sorry to have to ask you for more advice . Regards LaurenceFromNewcastle
