Has anyone ever figured out how to install the BIMP plug-in for GIMP with more recent OS (15.2)

I have Gimp installed on my M1 Max / OS 15.2 it works fine, but apparently the BIMP plugin was made for OS 10.22 and I simply cannot get it to work. Has anyone figured out how to install this plugin? Or for that matter, has anyone found an alternate method of performing batch actions in GIMP on a mac? Thanks in advance.

The BIMP release notes for v2.5 mention macOS Catalina only and the last v2.6 release note makes no mention of macOS compatiblilty. Considering BIMP v2.6 dates back to 2021, the developer has given up on newer versions of it and it probably will not work with the current GIMP for macOS Sequoia. You are welcome to try but don't get your hopes up.
