iCloud+ Private Relay feature prevents OpenDNS DNS filtering from working

This question has been asked before, and someone replied with a solution, saying if you block "Proxy/Anonymizer" in OpenDNS settings, it will work. However, that's not solving the issue for me.

My OpenDNS filter settings work on my desktop computers, but on my iPhone, if Private Relay is turned on, then OpenDNS is not recognized. Once I turn off Private Relay, OpenDNS is recognized once again.

Is there a way to solve this?

The entire point of iCloud private relay is to hide your activity when browsing the web.

This is going to bypass your local DNS, which means DNS filtering on your network isn’t going to work.

As I said, you can use one or the other. Take your pick.
