My mistake. I'm sorry. I got it directly from the Apple store.
I looksed up this problem, and it gave me these options:
Check for Profiles:
- Go to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management.
- Look for any installed profiles or MDM settings. If you find one, this is likely what's restricting changes.
Remove the Profile (If Applicable):
- If you own the device and do not need the profile, you can remove it by selecting the profile and tapping "Remove Profile."
- Note: You may need a password to remove the profile if it was installed with restrictions.
Contact the Administrator:
- If your device is managed by an organization, contact the IT administrator or the organization that manages the device to request changes or permissions.
Restore the Device:
- If you own the device and can't remove the restrictions, you may try erasing the device and setting it up as new:
- Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Erase All Content and Settings.
- Note: Ensure you have a backup of your data before proceeding.
- If the MDM profile is linked to the device, this might not work without proper credentials.
Reach Out to Apple Support:
- If none of the above works, contact Apple Support for assistance. Be ready to provide proof of ownership for the device.
I have tried all those options except restoring all settings on my phone. I may try that as a last option. I don't have any IT Adminsitrator or other profile set up other than my own. I have also updated the IOS, I have the latest version (it was another suggestion). So I am not really sure what's happening
