Logitech m510 mice suddenly stopped workin on my mac

Hi Apple community, I need your help. I was using my logitech mouse today and had a hardware problem ( a gunked up scrollwheel) with the mouse that caused me to switch to a back up mouse of the same type. When I plugged the USB dongle in a weird message about the logi daemon popped up and it made it so I couldn't use the backup mouse. Then when I decided to just go back to the original mouse that wasn't working either. It would seem like. I've tried a number of things and nothing seems to work. shut down the computer and updated the OS with no luck.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 13.4

Do your Logitech mice use a Logitech Unifying receiver (dongle)? Do you have more than one of these available to test with? Do you have a better description of what the error message said?

Are you using the Logitech Unifying app to pair these mice with your Mac?

Finally, is your Mac still running macOS Venture 13.4 as per your tagline?
