Deselecting “Build Out” in the Picture in Picture effect
Trying to use Picture-in-picture effect in FCP 11, but it always builds out no matter whether the build out box is checked or not.
Anybody else getting this?
iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 17

My apologies, Luis, for this post. After driving myself crazy trying to make this work right, I scrolled down and discovered that there were two instances of the PIP effect — one had "build out" checked. Duh! I tried to delete my post, but Apple doesn't allow that. So my stupidity will live here until our sun goes supernova.
But thanks for responding and trying to help.

I can't reproduce the problem.
Try deleting all render files. Turn off background render if it's on.
Does the problem persist?
Try on a new project on a new library. Same problem?
If it persists, try deleting FCP preferences. To delete preferences, hold down command and option while starting the application and click Delete Custom Settings. The application will start with default settings and open an "Untitled" library. Adjust the settings, reopen the library you were working, and see how it works now.
