The operation couldn't be completed. (NSFileProvider-ErrorDomain error -2005.)

This error message keeps appearing when trying to reinstall a file on iCloud to my phone. I can’t seem to find what this code means anywhere?

The error message "The operation couldn't be completed. (NSFileProvider-ErrorDomain error -2005.)" indicates a problem with the file provider, which is the system that manages files on iCloud.

Here's a breakdown of the possible causes and troubleshooting steps:

Possible Causes:

  1. Network Connectivity:
    1. Unstable Wi-Fi: Ensure a stable Wi-Fi connection.
    2. Slow Internet: A weak or slow Internet connection can disrupt the file transfer process.
    3. Cellular Data Issues: If using cellular data, check for poor signal strength or data limitations.
  2. iCloud Storage Space or Drive Login Issue:
    1. If your iCloud storage is full, you won't be able to download new files. Check your iCloud storage usage and consider upgrading your plan if necessary.
    2. Either you have logged out from iCloud Drive on your device or yet to Set up iCloud Drive on your iPhone.
    3. If you had those files on other Cloud Drives (iCloud Drive, Google Drive, OneDrive, DropBox, Flickr, box, AmazonDrive, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc) Then please log into them before you can access those files on the Files App.
