Touchbar issues in MacBook Pro

Hi, this morning my 2017 13” MBP touchbar started going crazy. Also the right side of it began working unproperly. Tried to reset Nvram, SMC and also connecting and disconnecting the touchbar itself. Maybe i should change it!?

hi and thanks for answering.

yeah, maybe i explained the issue a bit wrong…

but what happens is that the right side of it (where sound controls and siri button shows),

appears and disappears. also, the colours of the touchbar seem to be distorted…

again, thanks.

From the diagram supplied above —

your "the right side of it (where sound controls and siri button shows)" read "Control Strip"

if making some changes does not sort the issues...

on an Intel Mac — the best you can do if a software issue:

Try resetting the  System Management Controller  Reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support

Try resetting NVRAM/PRAM Reset NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

For hardware issue—

In or out of warranty you can get a free over the counter 'Apple Service Diagnostics' test /assessment

Make an appointment for a "hardware issue"

Let Apple tell you what is wrong, I would not spend any money on a 2017 most like a Logic board replacement.

...does not explain the issue exactly(?)

Shift Command 6 is the easy way to capture a screenshot of the Touchbar — if needed

are you asking about the behavior of the Control Strip...(?)

make some change to your settings...
