Preventing 'control-option' zoom after macOS update on Sequoia 15.2

On Sequoia 15.2, if I go to System Settings-Accessability-Zoom and turn on "Use scroll gestures with modifier keys to zoom". This enables "control-MouseScrollWheel " to zoom in and out. With the latest MacOS update, when I enable this it also enables "control-option" to zoom. This combination is used in shortcuts in a lot of the apps I use and is disabled by this zoom function. How to I prevent "control-option" from zooming but keep "control-MouseScrollWheel" zooming. This just started with my last MacOs update.

I FOUND THE PROBLEM!  Go to System-Settings->Accessibility->Zoom and choose “Advanced”.  Scroll to the bottom of the very long window… you will see the following.

The arrow indicates the setting that was set ON by the latest installed Sequoia update.  I switched this OFF and all is working as before.

Thanks for all your thoughts and the time you took to reply!

I started in Safe Mode:

I then pushed control-option - note it jumped-zoomed in:

When I release the keys, it returns to normal.

Below are the zoom options.  The one shown in the box is the one I have used since it was available.  When this is switched on, pressing the control key and rotating the mouse wheel zooms in and out.  This has worked this way for several versions of MacOS.

I’ve tried changing the “Modify key for scroll gesture” and it does change some of the zoom controls.  But the problem with “control-option” is still there.

When I switch this option off, the control-option key combination doesn't zoom anymore and Photoshop picks it up as a shortcut for brushes, but this also disable the control-key/mouse-wheel zoom feature (which became a part of MacOS several versions ago and has worked in Sequoia until a few days ago)

Again, the problem was the same and the control-key/mouse-wheel zoom was the same in Safe Mode.

Thanks for the reply... and I'm glad it's not a problem on your installs. But it is a problem on mine and I'm looking for help to fix it. When I turn on ANY of the System Settings-Accessiblilty-Zoom options, MacOS captures the "control-option" key combination and does a jump zoom in. When I release the keys it does a jump zoom out. This blocks the "control-option" key combination from being recognized by any app for other functionality (because it also does the jump zoom in the app). If I turn off all zoom options, this doesn't happen and the "control-option" key combinations works fine in apps. Because I have poor eyesight I have used the "Use Scroll gesture with modifier keys to zoom" option for as long as it has been available. I use the control-key and mouse scroll wheel to zoom. And until just recently, this worked without blocking the use of the "control-option" key combination in apps. Although I can't guarantee the update caused the issue, this problem started around the time of my last Sequoia update. Thanks
