how to turn off Two-Step Verification?

so I created my Apple ID on a windows pc and every time I log into my Apple ID with Apple's services, it asks me for a verification code from a phone number. This is really frustrating and I am growing tiresome of it, please help me to turn off 2-step verification. I have already viewed the article about how to do it, however there is no option to "edit" account security when i log in to account.apple.com.
