Persistent spam calendar invites on iPhone

I keep getting spam invites that I can’t get rid of from my calendar. I can decline but then it reappears- others have had this issue before but I’ve followed the advice but can’t seem to find out how they have access as I’ve no shared calendars and no odd contacts. I can’t report as junk either! What do I do?

The calendar spam is coming from the Microsoft servers and syncs to your Calendar app. The Microsoft Support forums have been flooded with this problem that affects all platforms. It seems they are able to control them for a while and then the issue pops back up again.

The best way to prevent them is to quit syncing the Calendar with those account. Here is an example of the Settings for the Calendar app where you can switch off Calendar syncing for that account. To get there with iOS 18, it is at Settings > Apps > Calendar, then follow the steps here.
