what the best range to set up the airtag

well it needs to be within bluetooth range maybe some 30meters but the further away there more likely you get interference and it could cause retransmits which could slow the procedure down

so maybe 3.56cm away from the iphone

The "best" range would be to place the tag near your iPhone when setting it up.
