How do I enable individual text strings to turn on Do Not Disturb status visible?

First go to Settings > Apps > Messages > and be sure Focus is turned on. Then go to the Messages app and click on a contact, then click their name in the top, and scroll down to Share Focus status. By the way, you cannot share your Focus Status with individual contacts in the Settings app, that must be done in the Messages app.

you can find this setting when are able to scroll down and access flashlight. once you are there you might see a “focus” press the moon icon and the do not disturb focus should be on. you can also ask siri to “turn on my do not disturb focus.
