AppleCare+ Coverage for US-Purchased MacBook Pro in Israel
Dear Apple Support Team,
I am writing to inquire about AppleCare+ coverage for a MacBook Pro that I recently purchased from a friend in the United States. The MacBook is still under its original warranty, but the coverage is set to expire in a few days. My friend, who resides in Israel, is willing to renew the AppleCare+ annual coverage for me.
I would like to clarify the following:
- Geographic Coverage: Will renewing the warranty in Israel allow me to receive repair services at authorized Apple service providers in Israel? In other words, if I need a repair under warranty, such as a screen replacement or liquid damage cleanup, can I do so in Israel?
- Coverage Conditions: Are there any specific conditions or restrictions regarding warranty coverage in the case of purchasing a used device and renewing the warranty in a different country?
- Service Process: How should I proceed if I need to file a warranty claim in Israel? Should I contact my friend in the US first, or can I directly contact an Apple service provider in Israel?
I would greatly appreciate a detailed response.
Thank you, Noam.
