Adding citicard to Apple wallet

My citi credit card wouldn't add to the apple wallet because both the mobile app and the wallet area of apple setup requested a verification code but there was no way to get them to send one. My solution (can't remember if it was in the citi mobile app or the apple wallet area of setup) was finding text that offered an alternative way to receive the verification code. It was a number that takes you to citi fraud department and the automated process just took a few questions and suddenly my citi card was added. Look for the alternative means of receiving verification.
