iPad 8 or 9 stolen lost password, help

My house was broken into and my iPad was stolen. My Home Owners Insurance will pay for it but I can't remember who I bought it from. I'm wondering if I have that information to Apple when I registered it. I can't remember the password and I can't get into a backup from it. Any ideas. I try to chat with Apple support and they want my serial number. My phone was also stolen so if zi had it on other I can't recover it either and so only have a day or two max to provide this if I want to get laid back.

iPad (9th generation)

Here is Apple’s advice for lost or stolen devices:

Use the Find My app to locate a lost or stolen device – Apple Support

If the Find My iPad feature was enabled prior to it being “misplaced”, then if active, you would stand a good chance of locating it.

However, if the feature was not activated prior to being misplaced - or the iPad has been inactive for more than 24 hours, the last known location will not be available - and the opportunity to use technical means to recover the iPad have been lost.
