How can I manage storage on iPhone 16 Pro?

Hello!

I was filming a bit with my Iphone 16 pro in Apple Log. When i started filming i saw that i had 27 minutes remaining. I filmed over the weekend, then transfered all the videos to my macbook through airdrop and then deleted everything i filmed from iphone. I also deleted the recently deleted folder files and then opened the camera app, but now it shows 15 minutes remaining. How can it be? It is almost half from what i started with... I rebooted the phone but it still says so. Where do the files go? Does airdropping create some phantom files somewhere?

Hello joonassan!

This issue you’re experiencing is likely being caused by your iPhone’s storage being filled up by new data being stored on your iPhone. This could be from you downloading apps or media, or your iPhone’s system data increasing.

Here’s how to check your iPhone storage: How to check the storage on your iPhone and iPad - Apple Support

You can manage storage in settings: Manage storage on iPhone - Apple Support

To manage system data, you can force restart your iPhone: Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

If you’re still experiencing these issues after checking through your storage, contact Apple Support or visit an Authorized Service Provider such as the Genius Bar: iPhone - Official Apple Support
