Apple Approval Notice

We have noticed that your Apple iCloud id was recently used at "APPLE STORE - CA" for $143.95, paid by Apple Pay Pre Authorization. Also some suspicious sign in request and apple pay activation request detected. That looks like suspicious to us. In order to maintain the security and privacy of your account we have placed those request on hold. If NOT you? talk to an Apple Representative. Failing may lead to auto debit and charge will not be reversed. Call +1 80*****88 immediately to cancel this charge.

Yes, that is complete and total SCAM.

  1. iCloud is not used for purchases, and Apple would never use it as such in a communication.
  2. No such thing as "Apple Pay Pre-Authorization"
  3. Apple has no way to know any purchase would be suspicious.
  4. The grammar is terrible, and Apple would never allow such a terribly written e-mail.
  5. Apple will never threaten to not reverse the charge,
  6. etc...

Do not call the number, and do not believe it.

Any charges through Apple Pay, would immediately appear in your Wallet app and on your payment method's statement.
