In screen time the Finder app is showing 24 hours screen time

In my newly bought MacBook Air m3 it is showing that the finder is running 24 hours even if I shutdown the laptop regularly and sometime the All Usage option in screen time shows it is above 100+ hours I don't even know what to do

The Screen Time app seems to provide less than accurate info for quite a few users.

I suggest you ignore this usage reporting tool until such time as Apple provides a fix in an OS update or upgrade.

If you search the Community you'll find plenty of others with the same complaint.

Yes, I understand it may be uncomfortable to see that.

No, you can't do anything about it until a fix is released, so do yourself a favor; turn off Screen Time and ignore it like any other unhelpful app that may be resident on your Mac.

As far as I can see, Screen Time offers no real useful advantage. I and my family have been using Macs for forty years and never needed an app to tell us how much time we spent at the computer. It doesn't matter. If you think you're spending too much time at the desk, then you probably are. You don't need the computer to tell you so.

Just use the computer as you like and need. 👍🏽
