Default paper size assigned to each printer

This is clearly a bug, all Apple support article that i found just plainly ignored it saying it is what it is.

I can confirm that the printing is working perfectly fine in the older version. even it is working perfectly fine on Chrome browser with macOS Sequoia 15.1.1. See the screenshots from Chrome. It is switching between paper-size correctly for each printer default setup.

Safari and Preview App, and all other apps just failed to switch to the correct paper size, and printer custom presets are 100% failure.

Updated to 15.3, still same issue.

The only thing that is working is Chrome Browser. It does not use the system printer dialogue, but if I clicked to open the system printing screen, it is the same issue.

Chrome is the only app that detects the printer default setting as per the CUPS settings.

very disappointed and frustrated user, we use this hundreds of times a day in a fast pace environment.

Apple support is saying it's a non issue....

I have two printers named as "A6 printer" and "A4 printer".

I used A6 printer for my shipping labels and A4 printer for tax invoices.

Previously on older macOS 13 version, I was able to set the default paper size for each printer. i just select a printer name, and the paper size is set automatically, without having to pick the paper size or select the printer presets.

Since recent updates, macOS Sequoia 15.1.1, it is no longer working. If i select the printer name, the dafault preset is not changing corresponding to that printer.

Acceptable solution expected is the custom preset is auto selected when i pick the printer name.

If i select an A6 Printer Name => Default Preset (A6 Label)

If i select an A4 Printer Name => Default Preset (A4 Paper)

This was working perfectly in previous OS. Apple please provide a solution, because it is a simple basic user experience that you can not ignore, things like this is pushing away your loyal customers.
