How can I download imovie HD

I thought that I heard if you own iLife 09, you can download imovie HD for free. Does anybody have that link?

You can get iMovie 06 in a number of ways. You cannot download it FROM APPLE any longer (it was free for a time). You can also find iMovie 06 on the iLife 06 install disc. You can buy iLife 06 on Amazon or eBay.

But be prepared to pay about double the cost of iLife 09 (but well worth every penny). Seller's are becoming aware of its value.

If you buy the iLife 06 disk, only install iMovie 06 from it. iMovie 06 will not delete anything and it works fine with iDVD 09.

Great. I actually still have the original 06 DVD. I have always just hesitated to install for reasons such as confusing the OS as to where to keep my current 09 movies. So you think, just install 06, and nothing will be effected automatically?

My copies of iMovie came from the official Apple iLife install discs.

I find that iMovie 06 and iMovie 09 work well together.

Really, that was going to be exact next question. How do you actually use them together. I mainly just miss a lot of the effects. So I would probably want to create a "clip" in 06 and export it to QT and then import it to 09? lol
