Multi output device on Macbook air doesn't work.

I wanted to play sound using two speakers : one from Macbook air and the other from Homepod mini.

However, when I created a Multi output device in the Audio MIDI Setup, I ran into the following issues.

  1. Using the Macbook air's speaker

-> Created a Multi output device

-> Nothing appeared in the audio list

2.Using Airplay(Homepod mini)

-> Create a Multi output device

-> Both the Macbook air speaker and Airplay appeared on the list.

->Selected both to use as output

When I switched to "Multi output device" as the audio output, both speakers disappeared form the list, and only the Macbook Air speaker was being used.

How can I use both speakers at the same time?
