2020 MacAir Running Slow + Crashing

Hi guys,

My Mac is running slow and crashing more often than I would like it to. I mainly use it for work, study, watching movies etc. So nothing too straining, in theory. I blamed the issue on its age but I ran an EtreCheck (which I don't really know how to read). It's attached here. I was hoping somebody could help me out with making my Mac a little easier and more reliable to work with. Otherwise, I would consider getting a new laptop.

I don't see any major known issues. The problem might simply be that your modest 2024-2025 demands have gotten too demanding for a dual-core CPU with only 8GB RAM. The other possibility is impending SSD failure. 173 TBW is late life for a 250GB drive.

Google Chrome/Keystone is known to be something of a resource hog. Usually it isn't a big problem for newish systems with an SSD, but it may still be worth a try switching to a different web browser and uninstalling/deleting everything Google.
