Unable to two-finger scroll with new Magic Trackpad

I recently purchased a Magic Trackpad from Apple and paired it with my MacBook Pro. While pointer and click motions are working fine, I’m unable to use the two-finger scrolling gesture.

The built-in trackpad on my MacBook works perfectly, and I’ve already checked the settings, restarted my MacBook, and disconnected/reconnected the Magic Trackpad, but nothing has resolved the issue.

Any guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

did you make changes to your settings and compare your results...(?)

>System Settings>Trackpad

see if there is some complication here:

Accessibility > Pointer Control > Mouse & Trackpad and checking/unchecking the option "Ignore trackpad when mouse or wireless trackpad is present".
