Mac Mini M4 fails to start after extended sleep mode

Mac Mini M4 will start up quickly from sleep mode if it is a short sleep mode duration but won't start up after an extended time in sleep mode unless the power button off then on is used.

In Disk Utility>View, select Show all Devices, highlight the top left entry.

Run Disk First Aid on all items in the left panel, from top down.

Sleep is unnecessary on later Macs and should be disabled. Shut for long absences/idle overnights (no downside whatsoever) and for regular operation use the settings exactly as shown below: (reboot after setting):

Also, do not manual-sleep for brief absences; use instead the Lock Screen settings to switch the display off on timer:

Once set, you can also use Control-Command-Q to immediately lock your screen (instead of waiting for the display to switch off on timer).

I updated the OS to 15.3 last night and also reset the SMC . I no longer put the Mac Mini M4 in sleep mode, however, after enabling the screen lock feature and coming back to the computer after an extended period, the mac refuses to load up after signing on. Am I the only one who has this problem?
