I'm using Spline.com to create USDZ models and am wondering if USDZ supports existing animations when you export it? See below
I have the gear wheels animated in spline and am hoping to export to USDZ from there and have the animation export too. Does anyone know:
i) Does USDZ support animation?
ii) Does anyone use Spline.com for modeling and export to USDZ?
USDZ can support animations. Motion can support USDZ animation, but it might depend on how it was made. I am not entirely sure if there is a "standard" which may mean that some USDZ models with animation in one application will actually work in all applications.
Here is proof that a USDZ animation can be rendered in Motion:
This butterfly model is supplied with/installed in Motion.
Motion can't export USDZ. It can import them, can't really manipulate them outside of positioning.
