Factory Reset very old iPad ver 9.3.5

Hi - I am trying to decommission a very old iPad - Version 9.3.5 (13G36) - so that I can donate / recycle it. I have been unable to find a post that provides me with the steps for this.

Thanks in advance.

Note that I selected iPad 1st Gen below, but I'm really unsure of the actual generation of the machine.

Thanks - Step 7 in the instructions was incorrect for my old version - but, I was able to find the erase command by doing a search in finder and, in the end, was able to reset the iPad.
