I can’t gain access to my account

"I can’t gain access to my account: The MacBook keeps on telling me account is locked for one minute and eventually for an hour after I put in the correct password"

Troubleshooting Locked Mac Account:

A. Reset the Mac Password:

Seems you need to change the password. As for which password, it would be the password you use it to log in to your computer.

B. Give it a Few:

Give it an hour. Then try with this later on. Enter the passcode incorrectly too many times, and you'd likely be locked out for a much longer time. Once this time is over, reset the Password...

C. Where to Reset the Password:

Reset it using the login screen. You'd go through your Apple ID to perform this. Find out more here: If you Forgot your Mac Login Password - Apple Support. Make sure that caps lock is not enabled when typing it.

before entering the password check the language of the input keyboard.

If it doesn't work reset the password from terminal under recovery mode .

Apparently, the password you are entering is not the correct password.
