GIMP on Mac OS 15.1.1

I installed "Manager for Gimp Image Editor" from Appstore, Icon is now saying "XGimp image editor".

The problem is, I don't know if installation went ok or not... The program icon is now found in the launchpad but if I start it, it shows a pop-up as of below. It indicates that I have to turn on (or off) the extension in Safari.

When done it just ends up with the opposite request (off it it was previously on).

So my question is, will it not work with a quite "new" MacOS?

Is XGimp not the same as Gimp? (Is Mac OS 15 relying on X or)

Is there a workaround?

Will it help to download GIMP from its site instead?

I don't think XGimp has any official ties to the GIMP project. The seller is "Securenet Sistemas Avanzados, SL" and the developer website link shown on the Apple App Store page goes to https://www.offidocs.com/. That site does not inspire any confidence at all. All they are doing is providing a service to allow you to use GIMP running on their servers for devices that can not install the full GIMP app.

I would read their Terms & Conditions very carefully as well as their Privacy policies. Do they in anyway have access to the items your creating/editing and do they retain any rights to use them in any manner? I've heard Adobe is known or has the "right" to scan users' online files stored on the Adobe servers.
