Putting limits to FaceTime to complete Screen Time setup
Dear parents, if you are puzzled as to why your screen time isn’t working for our kids I finally figured it out. I MADE my kids show me because I knew it wasn’t a hack found anywhere else!! Read below!
-The hack starts with FaceTime, while FaceTiming their friends they screen share.
-While screen sharing in the bottom right of their FRIENDS screen they click a button that allows the friend to control their screen.
-Once your kid hits accept the friend will mess around with your kids screen doing nothing but swiping between screens anywhere between 5-15 seconds.
-This somehow deactivates screen time entirely and it doesn’t save data either.
-Now…they can get tricky and turn screen time back on —just by going into settings then clicking on screen time and just hanging out inside that menu —no password needed no changes needed —simply being in the main screentime screen for a minute or so will turn on screen time again.
This hack is real, kids figure it out and they’ve been quiet. APPLE FIX THIS!! Do this with your kid! FaceTime them and follow all the steps I just said while screen time is on.
TIPS:
-During screen time make sure FaceTime is not on the “always allowed” apps
-Limit FaceTime to 30 minutes make them request more time.
-Tell them you know about the FaceTime hack and you know they’re doing it by missing data or blowing past the limits you set.
