AirPods Pro 2 hearing aid feature Belgium

I am an AirPods Pro 2 user and recently discovered that the hearing test feature (introduced in iOS 17) is not available in Belgium.

After contacting the Belgian Federal Public Service for Health (FOD Volksgezondheid), I was informed that there are no legal restrictions preventing this feature from being offered in Belgium.

They also confirmed that Apple has never contacted them regarding this functionality.

Could someone clarify why this feature is not available in Belgium and whether there are any plans to activate it in the future?

Since other European countries have access to it, I would like to understand why Belgium has been excluded.

As we are all Apple users, like yourself in te community, no-one here can speak for Apple ... Apple is not here to reply. You could send a feature request to Apple using the feedback form below. They will likely not reply, yet your feedback will be carefully read and logged, and if others in your country are also requesting tis feature, then it may be made available in a forthcoming update. If needed: Requirements for Hearing Aid Test, and Hearing Aid Feature,

"To set up Hearing Aid and Media Assist, you need AirPods Pro 2 with the latest firmware paired with an iPhone or iPad running iOS or iPadOS 18.1 or later." (Use the Hearing Aid feature on your AirPods Pro 2 - Apple Support)

Seems iOS 18.3 has recently been released (Reminder: It is always wise to back up iPhone first, if updating)

(Note: In iOS 18.3 : Apple Intelligence is turned on by default, unless it has been turned off previously)
