How can I disable Rosetta on MacBook Pro?
The problem with having installed Rosetta on my brand new MacBook Pro (2024 version) is that it is preventing me from using the Remove tool in my Photoshop Beta app. I was having trouble with Bridge not recognizing my external hard drive (I tried 3 different versions of it), so I went back to Bridge 2020, which I have never had any issues with. My MacBook Pro prompted me to install Rosetta to use that version of Bridge, so I did. Now I can't use the "Remove" tool in my Photoshop app because Rosetta is installed. I wonder what other tools I won't be able to use because I installed Rosetta, and even after installing Rosetta, Bridge 2020 doesn't access my external hard drive either. My MacBook finds it just fine (in Finder), but Bridge won't read it no matter which version I open. It's frustrating. I bought the new MacBook Pro because Photoshop Beta kept giving me System Requirements warnings when I would open it on my 10 year old MacBook Pro (which still works like a dream). I'd already lost access to Lightroom because my computer was too old and I couldn't update to a recent-enough version of the OS. Now I can't even get Bridge to work right and Rosetta has robbed me of the Remove tool in my Photoshop Beta app. I really wish there was a way to disable Rosetta since installing it did not solve the problem I was hoping it would solve. would it be possible to restore the computer to factory settings and start over? It didn't take long to migrate everything from my old MacBook Pro. I would be willing to do that just to get rid of Rosetta so I can use Photoshop Beta in all it's glory. I just did the migration 2 days ago and haven't had much of a chance to really dig in and do anything with the new laptop yet. Thank you for any help you can give me.
