Iphone 16 Pro Max Email Issues
Got my iPhone 16 Pro Max in November, started communicating with 2nd tier tech support on December 6th, 2024, and am still dealing with them today January 30th, 2025 (on my 6th tech person).
Issues: when open the mail app and I start scrolling thru them, they start jumping like the phone can't generate the info on the screen fast enough (on my 15 Pro Max no issue), I might be missing the past day emails all together untill I go back to my email accounts and back to emails to refresh and then the day's emails show up, I'll open up an email and it will say there is no information. When I open the Mail app there is just a black page. I re-fresh and slowly the emails appear.
The problem is I am endlessly re-freshening to retrieve my emails. They won't download in the background like they should do so I have to wait while it updates.
I've taken endless screenshots, I've shared all my email setup with Apple and their engineers, I've changed my settings per 2nd tier customer support request. Nothing has changed since November when I got the phone.
Also, I can't upload the logs to Apple. Each time the customer support has tried doing with me, it will either get stuck generating the log, go from 0-5% in 15-20 minutes, then go back to 0% or crash. Once I waited for 3 hours to see if it would ever get above 5% and it didn't. When it does not get stuck generating the log and I get to the point to upload to Apple it will say it's unable to do so and to contact Apple customer care. The irony is they are remoting into my phone when all this is happening.
As expensive these phones are and as reliant we are on emails today, it's crazy that this is not working or being fixed!! I had to get a laptop so I could get my emails as I can't rely on my iPhone to do that job. I did install outlook on my phone 2 weeks ago and of course that works flawlessly. No jumping, no missing emails, no delays.
Someone needs to wake up and fix this ASAP. Is this one of the consequences that AI is built into the phone and the aps so even when you turn that nonsense off, it's still trying to analyze the data in the background? It's looking like Apple pushed out a phone with subpar system just so they can say they have AI.
